Versatile are committed to giving back this year by supporting a couple of charities through various events and activities during 2023. We are really passionate about the work carried out by the two charities we have chosen to support, Shelter and Mind.
Mind is a brilliant charity offering a wealth of support to those struggling with their mental health and aim to make mental health an everyday priority.
Mind has taught us that one in four of us experiences a mental health problem each year, and we also know that men working in construction are three times more likely to suffer from poor mental health than the national average for men. Working in the construction industry, we are all too aware of the difficulties and strains often put on us. At Versatile we continue offer support internally, but we want to make sure this kind of support and more in depth help is available to anyone who needs it. Charities like Mind offer so much support by telephone, online, and run such great campaigns, we want to support Mind to be able to continue their fantastic work and allow their services to keep running.
Mind vow not to give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect, and we are pleased to be able to help them to reach their incredible target.
We are also supporting Shelter UK, who exist to defend the right to a safe home.
We spend our time working in the London and Home County areas, providing water, electricity, and gas connections to commercial and domestic properties, and we would like to be able to give back and support those within the community that need help with their housing issues or homelessness. Shelter offer advice and support on things such as homelessness, eviction, repossession and so much more, all of which is vital to the millions of people in the UK who do not have a safe home.
Shelter is campaigning for social justice and a fairer housing system. The current housing emergency is devastating, and we hope that we can help by supporting this wonderful charity.
